Mikayla was born in Layton, Utah and moved around the United States growing up. She went to high school in Concord, North Carolina. She furthered her education at Elon University where she was a Division I Women’s Soccer Player and majored in Public Health Studies and Human Service Studies. Mikayla began her legal journey by attending Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. 

During her time at Campbell, she has been a Student Representative on the Student Bar Association, is a LexisNexis Student Representative, is the Barbri Head Representative, and is the President of the Health Law Association.

Mikayla has worked in many different legal fields, and strives to grow and learn every day. Mikayla interned at the Alamance County District Attorney’s Office, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, and the North Carolina Medical Board. Mikayla has worked for a  real estate firm in Charlotte, Costner Law, PLLC. She has also worked for the North Carolina State Health Plan. With these experiences, Mikayla has gained insight about how Corporate Law, Medical Malpractice, Criminal Law, Family Law,  Property Law, and Real Estate Law work both inside and outside of North Carolina.

Mikayla is currently a 3L student at Campbell Law. She enjoys hiking, lounging with her dog, playing sports, attending sporting events, sitting at coffee shops, going to breweries, and traveling.
